What is the purpose of the three highlighted modules (AI, My Rights, and Entrepreneurship)?
The three highlighted modules—Fun with Artificial Intelligence, My Rights (do’s and don’ts), and How to be an Entrepreneur—are offered for free as an incentive to attract customers to the school of excellence. These modules align with the CAPS curriculum and aim to provide valuable, additional learning experiences.
How does the school ensure continuous assessment and feedback for learners?
The school provides continuous assessment through regular evaluations and feedback that will be available to both parents and learners. All assessment results are shared via the Canvas LMS, and a management portal allows parents to track their child’s progress annually. The assessments aim to promote a collaborative learning experience.
How are teacher profiles made available to parents and learners?
Teacher profiles, including pictures and short bios, are visible on the school website to enhance credibility and provide transparency. Teachers’ consent is formally secured for this purpose.
What support is available for learners who require extra help?
The school offers extra tutorials for learners who need additional academic support. In addition, emotional support and counseling services are available to ensure the well-being of students. The focus on Ubuntu principles helps nurture well-rounded young leaders and innovators.
What kinds of extramural activities are available for students?
In Phase 2, the school will introduce virtual clubs, workshops, and events such as reading and art. There will also be opportunities for learners to participate in Olympiads and other activities beyond the formal school day to fast-track their development and keep them engaged.
What technology tools will be used for learning, and how do students familiarize themselves with them?
The school uses a Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate learning. An induction session of one hour will be conducted for new customers to familiarize them with the basic navigation of the LMS. This ensures an effective and engaging learning experience for students.
How can parents track their child’s academic performance?
Parents will have access to a parental portal where they can track their child’s performance. The portal allows them to view academic progress and communicate with teachers as needed. Additional resources will be provided to help parents support their child’s development effectively.
